Many jewelers who claim to do custom work will order an existing piece from a catalog and add stones to it.  This is a basic jewelry request and elementary in its task.  This is not custom.  Our jewelers have design degrees.  We know what makes a design successful and pleasing to the eye.  We also know when a design doesn’t fit the needs or function.  I have seen many pieces made by jewelers that are clunky and heavy-handed.  At Scanlon’s, we specialize in jewelry that requires attention to detail, intricate detail.  We have made pieces that include over 500 diamonds per item.  We are the jewelry store that has the ability to make what others have failed to do.  I look forward to working with you and bringing your jewelry design to existence.

I’m one of the jewelers that you want to talk to when you have a creative idea and want a custom designed piece of jewelry.  When you come into Scanlon’s we will first discuss your ideas and wants. Second, I will draw a sketch of your ideas. Then third, I will carve, in 3-D wax, a mold of your sketch.  This mold will be tailor made to your finger size, with all the stones in place for you to review.  I look forward to you coming in so we can create together a piece of jewelry that you will be proud to show off to your family and friends.

I have always enjoyed working with precious metals, platinum is my favorite.  But most of the day I set diamonds.  In a short amount of time, I will fabricate and assemble your piece of jewelry that you have created for your self or someone you love.  We understand that people are anxious and excited to receive their new creation, so the sooner they are wearing it, the better.  This is where I come into the picture. I am the behind the scenes jeweler at Scanlon’s.  I am the guy who keeps your jewelry looking like new and the one who will fit your rings to your specific finger size.  I work with all metals and all stones.  I will repair just about anything from a broken chain or bracelet to repairing the intricate workings of hinges and clasps.  I take pride and care while I work on you precious pieces of jewelry.
